Press Release January 1st 2007 WCHS RAFFLE WINNER As construction continues in the background, Liana MacKinnon and husband Barry
Novack of Hawley, winners of the Wayne County Historical Society's recent raffle,
receive the keys to their 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T all-wheel drive vehicle. Shown,
left to right: Alan and Amy Highhouse of the Highhouse Oil Co., who contributed
toward the $1,000 worth of gas that went with the car; Steve Carmody of B &
B Dodge, which supplied the vehicle; Liana MacKinnon (in driver's seat), Barry
Novack; Wayne Wilcha, WCHS First Vice President and Fund Raising Chair; Juan
Espino, historical society trustee, who sold the winning ticket; and Dave Flederbach,
of Dave's Super Duper, which promoted raffle ticket sales with a turkey and
ham giveaway and grocery discounts. Unable to attend were Jim Firmstone of the
Firmstone Oil Co. and Sally Weiss of the Lakewood Oil Co., who contributed to
the $1,000 free gas. Raffle proceeds will go toward the society's new addition,
now under construction. At the presentation, Wilcha congratulated the winners
and expressed the society's gratitude to all those members and friends who bought
tickets. |
